How to Get More Likes on Instagram [Infographic]

It’s no secret that I love Instagram. I primarily love it because it’s really, really beautiful. I follow some amazing photographers, and their work always blows me away. I also love the community on Instagram. It feels less self-serving than some of the other social networks out there, and that is refreshing.

Still. If you, like me, are addicted to the dopamine rush that accompanies posting a new photo to your Instagram and then watching the “likes” roll in, you’ll find this infographic helpful.

Basically, it boils down to this: the more artistic your photo is, chances are you’ll get more likes. Doesn’t seem like rocket surgery, does it? But it’s about knowing your audience–Instagram is a photographer’s medium, so if you take beautiful photos, you’ll do well on here.

As a marketer, I love using Instagram to give people a “behind the scenes” look at what’s going on. I often take photos of blogger events (read: food) I’m attending, or restaurants I’m at, or just random moments of beauty that I come across on a daily basis.

Oh–and if you’re not already, follow these people. They are well worth it. Oh–and I’m @rebeccacoleman (hint, hint).

Not sure how I feel about duck lips…
