Live streaming video has been super hot for the last 6 months. With the introduction and subsequent popularity of Meercat and Periscope, the world has pretty much fallen in love with live-streams. You can even do multiple-player live streams, with Blab.
You install Livestream on your business’ Facebook page, and then you can host live-streaming events right on your Facebook page. The possibilities are endless: you could teach your fans how to better use your product, host interviews, do training sessions, or take your fans behind the scenes at your business.
The advantage of Livestream is that you are just adding it on to an already existing audience, whereas with the newer players, like Meercat and Periscope, you have to build your audience from scratch. Here’s a more in-depth guide on how to use it.
All of this is coming on line just in time for the SuperBowl this weekend, and the timing is deliberate.
Facebook is also launching the new Sports Stadium feature at the Superbowl. It’s basically a live feed of the game, and it sounds a lot like Twitter. Hmmm…
