Content Marketing Trends for 2017

We’re almost 2 months into 2017; how’s your year been so far? Mine’s been pretty amazing, I have to say… I think 2017 is going to be pretty great.

When it comes to promoting your business, there are certainly some content marketing trends that are looking hot for 2017, as well.

Visuals, especially video: we know that graphics and video have been on the rise over the last few years as a marketing technique. Now, more than ever, images on social media are deeply important. As is video–especially video that is native to the platform, like Facebook Live.

Niche content: people are doing google searches for really specific content, and when they do, they should be finding your site. Make your stuff more granular and you’ll find an audience.

UGC and Influencer marketing: how can you get your fans to create content for you? At The Wellness Show next weekend, we’re planning on setting up a selfie station with a tweet wall to capture the resulting content. Everyone likes to feel famous–encourage your fans to post images about your business, then share those images with your social networks. Alternatively, work with influencers, who have an already built-in following, to talk up your business.

Ad buys: it’s hard to get away with not spending any money on advertising these days. The good news is, buying social media ads like the ones on Facebook is both cheap and very effective.

VR: it’s new, it’s exciting, and it’s coming to advertising. What if you could have your audience experience your product or service by simply strapping on a virtual reality headset? How amazing would that be for your marketing. It gives a whole new meaning to “try before you buy.”

And now, here’s today’s infographic: Content Marketing Trends for 2017.
