It does, actually! It’s funny. Funny people are often good cooks.
This is the same as when a performing arts presenter gets in front of the audience to introduce the artist but first admonishes everyone in the audience that if more people don’t come in the future, there won’t be any more performances. So charming.
For me, it was a total turn-off. I imagine the only way people would go into that restaurant would be out of pity. I dunno… it just doesn’t work for me.
