Are You Taking Advantage of your Facebook Pages’ Real Estate?

There has been much buzz over the last few weeks about all the changes that Facebook has been making. If you do not yet have a page for your business, there’s no time like the present–Facebook contiues to make changes that make it better and better for businesses.

Here’s a really simple tip to help you make the most of your Facebook page. What image are you currently using for your Facebook profile image on your page? I’ll bet that most of you are using a small logo.

The maxiuum size of image you can upload for your Facebook Page profile picture is actually 200 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.

Check out the Full Bleed Arts Marketing FB page:

I actually have to scroll beyond the fold to see the whole thing!

See if you can create something similar for your page. If you don’t have Photoshop, here are a couple of other options:

  1. Wow, thanks Rebecca for using the Full Bleed page as an example. I’m honored.

There are other things you can do with the pages too such as cleverly make the images on the top show only certain ones, but I haven’t got to that yet.

One change that was made recently however, is the size of that image. It’s not longer 200 x 600. The reduced it to 180 x 540 pixels.

  2. I had no idea this was possible. Thanks!

By the way, I have used also used GIMP on my PC, running both Windows or Linux, so it is an free option for everyone.

  3. My business FB page needs SO much attention that I don’t have to give. Plus my website is out of date. Business is just way too busy to take care of these essential elements.

    Thanks for your advice Rebecca.

    Sincerely.
    Minty Thompson!
