#UnderstandingAnalytics: Summary

Well, gentle reader, it seems we have come to the end of yet another series. I started writing serial posts a couple years back, and I really enjoy doing it. It helps to focus me over a long period of time.

understanding analytics

This most recent series was dedicated to understanding analytics. In this world of social media marketing, analytics are what set us apart from the dabbler. By getting seriously nerdy and mining the data, we both prove that what we do matters (and counts–literally!), and we also learn how we can become better, because the analytics teach us what works and what doesn’t.

There’s still a long way to go, for sure. There’s still a lot we don’t know, and some of it still feels like conjecture, but we are getting smarter at deciphering analytics. And that’s only going to make us better.

Here’s a rundown of the entire series:

Introduction

Google Analytics

WordPress

Facebook

Twitter

E-newsletters

Pinterest

Instagram

So, what comes next? I have no idea! If you have any suggestions for future series, I’d love to hear your ideas. Please share in the comments below what topic you’d like me to tackle next.

I’ve already done serials on SEO for Bloggershow to build your personal brand using Social Media, and on how to monetize your blog.
