I’m Going to Sage Summit! And You Can Too (Virtually)

I’m really, really excited to announce that I’ll be in Chicago next week for Sage Summit.

You might remember I went last year, when the conference was hosted in New Orleans. I ate a lot of beignets. Like, a lot. And I regret nothing. I also saw some amazing speakers: Deepak Chopra, Colin Powell, Trevor Noah, Chad Hurley, the founder of YouTube, and Tony Hawk. We had our own private concert by Walk the Earth, and we shut up and danced!

I love going to conferences, and I especially love going to conferences with like-minded people. It’s so empowering to hear the stories of these people who are successful, and to get insight and inspiration from them. It’s wonderful to meet like-minded folks, small business owners, entrepreneurs and social media enthusiasts. This is my tribe.

I cam away from 2015’s Sage Summit feeling very full (of beignets and inspiration). I made some wonderful friends. I ate some amazing food. And I can’t wait to do all that again next week in Chicago.

Sage Summit is the largest Small Business Conference in the world. This year, some 15,000 people will attend, and listen to speakers like Sir Richard Branson, Ashton Kutcher, Zooey Deschanel, Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Yancey Strickler, the founder of Kickstarter. I’ll be right there, front and centre, live-tweeting the whole thing. You can follow along at home with the hashtag #SageSummit.

If you want the experience of being there, but you can’t make it, sign up for Sage Summit Live, and you can see the livestreams of all the talks.

I’ll be back next week with a blog post or two about what my key takeaways were. In the mean time, if you’re going to be in Chicago, be sure to say hi!
