Hoooleeey!
When I first started doing research for this post, I thought it would be a pretty quick affair. Not, as it turns out, true.
I knew there were quite a few live-streaming platforms or apps out there, but I had no idea there were so many! It’s pretty impressive, actually.
I found this cool infographic online and thought I’d share it with you, but there are many more besides the 5 listed here.
UStream is one of the original live-streaming apps. However, it’s a paid app, though there is a free trial.
Periscope has been around for 2 years. Twitter owns it, and they have integrated it into the app. You can live broadcast using your twitter handle name directly from your phone. People can ask you questions via text and give you hearts. Periscope is one of the most popular live streaming applications currently.
If you’re a gamer, Twitch is the place to be, but Twitch is now opening up its doors to more than just gamers. They have created Twitch Creative, which features artists sharing their process. Check out KayPikeFashion who is 60 different kinds of cool.
Pocket Live is primarily dedicated to gamers as well, but there are also fun talk shows happening here, as well as lifestyle content like cooking.
